Golden Call.

yes, as the story goes, i was looking at pink-bottomed baboons when i got the call to say that i've been selected to join Emirates. the gist of the call is that i'm supposed to wait for further instructions abt a medical in a couple of days, n then to prepare to fly off to Dubai on 20th June 2008. i was so fucking ass happy, i jumped n jumped n the baboons ended up looking at me instead. they lost interest when they saw MY bottom.

after i hugged my baby, who was looking oh-so-sad, i mass text the rest of the girls who already got the call. n then i text all my darlings, n then i called my mom. her reaction was a cheerful "OH NOOOOOO...." talk abt irony.

then we sat down for a while, n then we fell silent as it sank in. i hv less than 5 weeks to meet up with frens and appreciate my loves here before i uproot myself to go. i'll be gone for 3 yrs.. 5, if all goes well. i plan to climb as high as i can, n when it's time to come home, i'll be a housewife. yes, i wanna be a housewife with my own biz. i wanna cook for my husband n look after the kids, educate them well, give them a beautiful childhood n home. most importantly, be my own boss.

sounds domestic? yes, i think so.. but when the corporate world has no meaning for u but the yusof ishaks, then u tend to look for meaning elsewhere.

well enough abt my life ambitions.

i'm really gonna miss a lot of people. first n foremost my buddy, my boyfriends =p and everyone else. n the thing is, i'll miss the moment when erit's free. i hvn wrote to him abt this yet, n i can imagine he'll be upset. hope i get to see him soon.

so rite now i need to wait for medical instructions n then do some shopping for the big move.
