wow.
been a whirlwind month huh.
thr are times i was enjoying teaching, but d next moment i felt like shit n panicked when i looked to d future n saw me doing this forever. but then again, i blinked, n hv decided more or less that this is what i'd love to do. at least i think my panic kicked in cos of my fear of commitment. yet again.
sure, it's quite a lot of work during that 5day week, but when i look back, it's useful work. i mean, people benefit from the effort i put in. even tho these people sometimes don't listen and they piss u off, at d end of the day, they enjoy the fact that i care, n they appreciate it. it makes me feel good to be doing some sort of service. i admit i'm not ur 1st choice role model, but these kids can relate to me.
ok i don't know how else to explain it, but i hv this particular class who drives me up d wall each time i see them, but i was helping them to file their work the other day n it was madness cos we were pressed for time and these kids hv a pile of work from january to file, but they were mostly undated! so it was that i had to help them sort d worksheets by title, n then date them, n then file them. in order. in an hr. absolute madness. i was particularly helping tis kid who was having extra problems cos he had another assignment to complete by that hr on top of all tt filing. he managed to finish up the assignment, n then i was helping him with d sorting. in d end he finished pretty quick, n didn't hv to stay behind after hours. d very next day, i received a teachers' day gift from him. given by proxy, cos he was "too shy". it was d sweetest thing ever.
i didn't expect to receive anything at all for teachers' day cos i was rather new n i don't actually hv my own classes to teach yet. n tt particular boy is really naughty in class. but tis simple gesture says a lot, n it makes me think tt it's all worthwhile, probably. it's not that i'm a sucker for gifts, but it's d fact tt appreciation is shown. n i'm sure thr r others who appreciate d things i do, but do not show it. so i'm gonna work harder n reach out to all this disinterested kids so that i can make a positive change in their lives.
OMG i'm gonna puke.
anyway, i lost my phone so whoever has my number, do sms me n let me kno who u r. i need to get my contacts back together.
n oooooooooooOOOooooooooooo i hv a multiply site.
holler if u wanna see!
=)

you may be the first teacher to ever take time for that kid, and that may be the one event in his school life that makes him give school a decent chance. you brought out the good in him.
